Fuel Tanks Allow Boeing 777-200LR to Break World Record

On November 10, 2005 a Boeing 777-200LR broke the world record for the longest nonstop flight of a commercial jet. This long range aircraft has a very distinctive feature that allows it accomplish such feats: the large fuel tanks it carries onboard. AASC is proud to have fabricated the fuel tank panels for this effort.

STEREO Spacecraft Undergoing Testing at NASA

AASC fabricated the two antenna reflectors that are found on the STEREO spacecraft currently undergoing final testing at NASA Goddard. These spacecraft are to be used to perform the third mission in NASA’s Solar Terrestrial Probes program.

AASC Built Radome is Part of Successful Critical Design Review

It was announced on Thursday, November 17th , that Northrop Grumman Corporation and the U.S. Navy completed a successful critical design review of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft.

Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter Takes Flight

AASC's latest hardware was launched into space at 7:43 A.M. ET on August 12th, 2005 with the liftoff of the Atlas V and the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

AASC Plays Critical Role in Deep Impact Mission

On January 12, 2005, with the launch of the spacecraft, the Deep Impact Mission was underway.  The six-month mission will reach its climax when an impactor, released by the craft, will crash into the Comet Tempel 1.
