AASC Announces Completion of New Facilities
10/03/2004
On October 1, 2004, AASC employees witnessed the dedication and official opening of two new buildings consisting of 63,500 square feet of new manufacturing and storage space.
AASC's owner and executives approved the facility expansion in August 2003 with the intention to house a new 16'x30' autoclave. Construction on the facility began in February 2004. A ceremony with AASC’s owner and employees was held to celebrate the opening of this facility.
The new facility will initially service the Advanced Hawkeye Radome program, but will ultimately allow AASC to grow and expand our customer and product base.
The facility addition allows AASC to continue to provide larger and larger assemblies to our customers, with new segregated composite lay-up rooms for non-conductive and conductive materials each with its own dedicated NC ply cutters, laser projection systems, overhead cranes and the 16'x30 autoclave mentioned in the last AASC Update.
