AASC manufactured and delivered the Wideband Gapfiller reflectors and pallets.

AASC manufactured and delivered the Wideband Gapfiller reflectors and pallets.  The program began as a concurrent engineering effort where AASC promoted and helped develop the concept of the ultra-lightweight and precise stiffened laminate reflector assemblies.  AASC met all weight requirements on the program and delivered three high-quality shipsets to the customer on-time.

AASC also built and delivered deployable radiators and satellite bus structures for the BSS-702 satellite structure.

WGS is a high-capacity satellite communications system designed to support newer and far greater capabilities than those provided by current systems, yet it is compatible with existing control systems and terminals. WGS will provide two-way X-band and Ka-band communications as well as Ka-band broadcast services to U.S. Armed Forces and other agencies worldwide. The WGS contract includes options for as many as six Boeing 702 satellites
