STEREO Spacecraft Undergoing Testing at NASA

Twin Antennas for the STEREO Spacecraft Assemblies

AASC fabricated the two antenna reflectors that are found on the STEREO spacecraft currently undergoing final testing at NASA Goddard. These spacecraft are to be used to perform the third mission in NASA’s Solar Terrestrial Probes program.

The nearly identical satellite pair will be launched at the same time and send back 3-D images of the coronal mass ejections, powerful eruptions on the sun. AASC employees are looking forward to the launch in Summer 2006 as another example of AASC’s contribution to scientific discovery.
