AASC AS9100 6 Month Assessment Audit was a success!
10/03/2011
AASC was proud to be certified to AS9100 Rev C in April 2011. AASC is only 1 of 90 facilities (approx. 40 companies) worldwide to have received the Rev C certification. After aquiring the Rev C certificate, the AS9100 6 month assessment was conducted on November 3, 2011. This audit was a complete success with ZERO findings.
All companies registered to the AS9100, AS9110 and AS9120 standards must have successfully undergone a transition audit resulting in the issuance of a new certificate by July 1, 2012. Deadline to transition to this new revision is rapidly approaching. Since it can take up to a month from the last day of an audit to the date on which a new certificate is issued, all organizations that have not transitioned to the newest versions of the AS9100, AS9110 or AS9120 must complete their audits by June 1, 2012. This is all compounded by the fact that there is a shortage of qualified aerospace auditors worldwide. If a new certificate is not issued by the July 1 deadline, a company is no longer considered registered and will have to begin the registration process all over again to include a new stage I and stage II audit.
Congratulations to all AASC employees for their part in receiving the Rev C certification and thanks to all those who prepared and supported our AS9100 6 month assessment.
The next 6 month assessment is scheduled for April 2012
