AASC Awarded DDG-1000 Radome Contract

AASC was awarded a contract to build EHF Radomes for the US Navy DDG-1000 ship program.

AASC completed unit 1 last year and has now received the go-ahead to complete units 2 and 3. We expect to deliver these two new Radomes before the end of the year. The solid laminate radome is approximately 8’x 8’ in size and manufactured for five different locations on the DDG-1000 system. AASC is contracted for 1 engineered development unit, with funding for 10 production units by November of this year.

The DDG-1000 Zumwalt Class Destroyer is a multimission ship for the U.S. Navy. It is tailored for the littoral, air and sub-surface warfare with stealth and precision volume striking capabilities. The ship will operate as an integral part of the maritime fleet.
