AASC Presented Boeing Award of Appreciation
04/20/2009
On April 20, 2009, AASC was presented an award from Boeing Satellite Systems for their significant contribution to the MSV program. AASC’s completion and delivery of MSV Structural Assemblies was a vital ingredient in the success of the MSV spacecraft production schedule.
Ron Dukat, MSV Program Manager, and Thomas Thrailkill, Director of S & IS Supplier Management, presented a commemorative award to AASC’s MSV assembly team to express Boeing’s appreciation for their outstanding efforts.
The MSV spacecraft are geo-mobile satellites combining both satellite and cellular technology. They deliver consistent, extensive and highly developed voice and data coverage across North America, northern South America, Central America, the Caribbean, Hawaii and their coastal waters. The service to wireless devices is practically identical to cell phone handsets in terms of aesthetics, cost, and functionality. The satellites are scheduled to launch in 2009 and 2010.
Congratulations to everyone who was a part of this program. Thank you for your excellent work!
