Telescope Structures

AASC has fabricated composite and metallic telescope structures for precision payloads and is well versed in all the requirements necessary to satisfy system level performance.

Spitzer Telescope Structure

 

AASC fabricated the barrel structure and other components for the Spitzer Telescope.  This structure had highly polished skins inside and out and was able to support cryogenic temperatures.

Telescope Secondary Mirror Support

 

AASC has fabricated very high precision mirror mount structures for the space industry.  The structure shown has invar fittings and high modulus, zero CTE, graphite components.

Telescope Outer Barrel Assembly

 

AASC has assembled large composite barrel structures for imaging satellites up to 12 feet high and 5 feet in diameter.
