Role Description
The Design Engineer will be responsible for applying engineering principles to design, modify, or develop product designs using computer software. Provides tooling designs, mylars, CNC machine programs, or other engineering products to support manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Creates engineering, models, drawings, and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
- Uses computer assisted engineering/manufacturing software and equipment to accomplish tasks.
- Analyzes data to determine feasibility of product proposal.
- Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design.
- Creates and presents technical data packages for review with peers, management, and customers.
- Follows engineering data control procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a focus in design, aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAE/CAM software: Catia, Pro/E, Autocad, Solidworks, Nastran, or Mastercam.
- Skilled in the use of ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Must have strong interpersonal and good communication skills.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong hands on experience with composites
- Experience in a manufacturing environment

The salary range for this role is $80,000-110,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this open role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
